This artwork highlights the bathymetry of the beautiful twin lakes of Wānaka and Hawea. from the depths of Hawea to the world famous views of Wānaka from Roys Peak, this piece offers a different view of the area to what you see on Instagram. Lake Wānaka is New Zealands forth largest lake, but its lesser known neighbour is almost 100m deeper, the deepest point being below sea level.
We have included all of Wānaka town and Glendhu Bay, Lake Hawea and Hawea Flat, Dingle Burn, The Neck and right up to Makarora. The streets are engraved in full detail so you can map your place.

Details
All of our maps are made from layers of sustainable bamboo ply and framed in FSC pine frames. Our art maps are entirely handmade by us in our Wairarapa workshop. We have worked hard to make a beautiful and sustainable artwork for you. Due to the handmade nature and natural materials used no two maps are the same and will vary slightly to the image shown. Each map comes in a presentation box and includes a hanging kit, and mounting holes are pre-drilled into the frame for easy fitting.
